Immunohistological Investigation of Non Hodgkin Lymphoma of Tonsil and Nasal Cavity at Fukuoka University (Studi Imunohistokimia Limfoma Malignum Non Hodgkin (LMNH) pada Tonsil dan Cavum Nasi di Universitas Fukuoka)
Reevaluation of 34 cases of non Hodgkin lymphoma of tonsil and nasal cavity during ten years period were performed at Department of Pathology School of Medicine, Fukuoka University. They consisted of 28 cases from tonsil and 6 cases from nasal cavity. On immunohistochemical investigation using AB-complex and alkaliphosphatase substrat chromogen, there were found 22 cases of lymphoma of tonsil, derived from B cell and 6 other cases derived from T cell, while 2 cases lymphoma of nasal cavity derived from B cell and four other cases were from T cell. Based on international classification of Working Formulation it was found that most of non Hodgkin lymphoma both from tonsil and nasal cavity were classified as intermediate and high grade catagory. And large cell (LMNH) is the most common type. It seemed that most lymphoma of tonsil derived from B cell type, (p=0.001) while most lymphoma of nasal cavity derived from T cell type, as found in several other centers.
