Perubahan Panjang Kanalis Servikkalis Rahim Wanita Hamil dengan Ancaman Persalinan Preterm (The Changes of the Length of Uterine Canalis Cervical in Pregnant Women with Threatened Preterm Labor
There were structural changes in the uterine cervix of patients with threatened preterm labor in consistency, dilatation and length of the cervix. The aim of this study was to find the changes of the length of canalis cervicalis in patients with threatened preterm labor. A cross sectional study was done of patients with threatened preterm labor which admitted to Department of Obstetric and Gynecology Hasan Sadikin Hospital. The research was done in January 2004 till February 2005. We measured the length of canalis cervicalis of 34 patients with criteria of threatened preterm labor using transvaginal ultrasound. In the same time we performed the same procedure in 32 normal pregnant women as a control. The results showed the mean of length canalis cervicalis were 22.8 mm in patient with threatened preterm labor and 32.8 mm in the control group.
