Nutritional Anemia on Pregnant Women : Case Study in Two Villages Grobogan and Lombok Sub District (Anemia Gizi pada Ibu Masa Reproduksi : Studi Kasus di Dua Desa Kabupaten Grobogan dan Lombok)
Nutritional anemia is a main nutrition problem for all group of age, including pregnant women and child-bearing age women. This situation leads to decrease the quality of life of the population. Discriptive cross-sectional study has been conducted to 248 child bearing age women in two villages of Grobogan and Lombok Municipal (Turisari and Sukaraja Village). This study is related to another study ('Relationship between zinc Status and children's growth') in which the children of the mothers was taken as a research index. This study will be detected to illustrate incidence of anemia based on the status obstetricus of child bearing age group. The anemia is determined by WHO 's criteria. The study showed that Anemia can be found at : 64.6 percent of 175 respondens where hemoglobin level can be detected; 2.3 percent of it were anemia gravis. Fivety percent of 14 pregnant women, where 14,3 percent of it were anemia gravis. The prevalence of anemia in the first trimester were 25 percent, 57.1 percent in the second trimester and 66.7 percent in the last trimester. 64.0 percent of 86 women in lactation state. 64.6 percent of 158 non pregnant women. 68.2 percent of 66 women used an oral contraceptive, 38.2 percent of 34 women used intramusculair contraceptive, 75.0 percent of 16 women used norplant and 100.0 percent of 5 women used IUD. It is concluded, that prevalence of anemia in child bearing age women in many situation still high. The prevalence of non-family planning group was higher compare with family planning group. There was a different prevalence of anemia according to contraceptive's methods.
