Pengaruh Infusa Tali Putri (Cuscuta australis R.Br) terhadap Berat Ovarium dan Kadar Hormon Estrogen Serum Darah Tikus Putih (Rattus norvegicus L.) (The Effect of Tali Putri (Cuscuta australis R.Br) Infusion on Rats (Rattus norvegicus L) Ovaries Weight and Estrogen Hormone Level in Blood Serum)

Cuscuta australis R.Br. is one of the dodder species that live as a parasite to the “graden-fence” herbs. It contains phytosteroids compound that expected having estrogenic activity in individual who consume it. The purpose of this research is to measure the ovaries weight and the level of estrogen hormone in blood of Rattus norvegicus L. as the effect of C. australis R.Br. infusion. Treatment using C. australis R.Br. given orally 1 ml/day/individual for 30 days. Twenty five rats are used as experimental animal divided into 5 group. Group K0 is control group, whereas group K1,K2,K3 and K4 was given C. australis R.Br. Infusion with dosage subsequently 0,11; 0,15; 0,18 and 0,21 hram/ml/ 200 gram body weight. Blood serum and weight of ovarium pairs were taken in pro-estrus phase. The level of estrogen hormone in blood of R. norvegicus L. then measured with RIA (Radiommunoassay). These data analyzed by ANAVA with CRD at significance level 95%. To study the most significant result among treatment, statistic continued with DMRT test. The result showed that C. australis R.Br infusion have no effects on the ovaries weight of R. norvegicus L However, C. australis R.Br R.Br. infusion arise significantly estrogen hormone level in blood of R. norvegicus L on the treatment with C australis R.Br. 0,11 and 0,21 grams/ml/200 grams rats weight. It can be concluded that C. australis R.Br. infusion can arise astrogen hormone level but don’t have any effects on the ovaries weight.
