Disease Vectors Resistance through the Insecticides (Resistensi Vektor Penyakit terhadap Insektisida)

Vector borne infection disease remain a major hindrance to the economic growth in many parts the tropical and sub-tropical countries all over the world. Chemical pesticides is still the best way in controlling the growth of the vectors, but it has negative impacts especially to the resistence increasing of many insects to various insecticides. The factors that influence the increase of insecticides resistent to the population of mosquitoes can be classified into genetics, operational and biological. In order to determine the current status of the resistance of disease vectors to insecticides as well as to establish the base line data for the susceptibility level, a series of susceptibility test should be carried out routinely.
