The Growth and Development of Post Embryonic Chrysomya Megacephala in Various Kind of Feed
The effect of dried small fish, shrimp and shell fish on the growth and development of post embryomic chrysomya megachephala were studied under ambient temperatur in laboratory by measuring length and weight of each stage. The result showed that shell shell fish feed caused slower growth of those dipterant than ithey are feeded with dried small fish and shrimp. There were no differences between the growth of larvae feeded with dried small fish and shrimp. Its seems that shell fish is not good nutrient for its growth and development, whereby chemical analysis proved this statement by its low content of carbohydrate and protein. The mal nutrition symtome be observed by the total length of the larvae.
